Sculpting the piece takes several weeks, after which each maquette has a master mould made, before being carefully hand cast in our British foundry, using exactly the same traditional lost wax process that we use to hand cast all of our sculptures.Įach sculpture is individually numbered as one of a limited edition of just 500 castings and bears our maker’s mark, ‘NF’, as well as the sculptor’s signature.Įach piece arrives with you carefully wrapped in a velvet pouch and encased in a beautifully hand made gift box. Both artists found it satisfyingly challenging to work at this scale as simply making an armature that is less than ten centimetres long can present some significant technical challenges that demand inventiveness.
